REGISTRY BACKUP/RESTORE

ERUNT (emergency recovery utility NT) can backup the Windows registry while in use. Restoration can be effected from either Windows or booted CD environment.

The backup dialog (left) runs from Windows. It can be automated to run silently in the background once/day when computer boots. The restore dialog (right) can run from Windows or booted CD environment.

To restore backups, run ERDNT.EXE from respective directory from either Windows or booted CD environment. When in booted CD environment, you may have to edit ERDNT.CON file to reflect proper drive letter if Windows directory is not located on C: drive.
