How to clean an infected computer:

1) Boot from Alan's Ultimate Boot CD

2) Delete temp files (GO, PROGRAMS, UTILITIES, DELETE TEMP FILES)

3) Run SpyBot Search & Destroy (GO, PROGRAMS, ANTIVIRUS, SPYBOT MANUAL CLEAN)
   Download newest updates then check for spyware.

4) While SpyBot is still loaded, start regedit (GO, RUN, REGEDIT)
   From regedit, click favorites, choose "Remote HKLM Run" and delete
   all entries on the right pane. Repeat for "Remote HKCU Run". 
   Exit regedit and SpyBot.

5) Start File Manager (GO, FILE MANAGER) and navigate to: 
   C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
   Delete any unnecessary entries. 
   Repeat for every user:
   C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
   C:\Documents and Settings\Default User\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
   C:\Documents and Settings\............\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
   etc.

6) Run McAfee Antivirus (GO, PROGRAMS, ANTIVIRUS, MCAFEE AUTOCLEAN C:)
   Download latest updates (requires CD license)

7) For extra virus cleaning, you may run Kaspersky Antivirus
   (GO, PROGRAMS, ANTIVIRUS, KASPERSKY) 
   Download latest updates (requires CD license)

8) Run chkdsk utility (GO, PROGRAMS, SYSTEM, STORAGE CHECK DISK)
   Choose "Fix errors on the disk"

9) Run disk defragmenter. (GO, SYSTEM, STORAGE, DEFRAG)

10)Perform additional registry cleaning with RegistryFix (requires CD license)
   Boot back into Windows, load CD into drive, click GO, PROGRAMS, UTILITIES,
   REGISTRY, REGISTRYFIX.  *(DO NOT USE FOR TERMINAL SERVERS OR VISTA!)
